About Kieth Haring:
He was born in May of 1958 in Pennsylvania. He was interested in Art in high school and enrolled in an Ivy League school of Professional Art in Pittsburg to become a commercial graphic artist but dropped out and started making art in places other than a canvas, he would make art on sidewalks, walls, subways and all sorts of unusual places. Pop Shop 1 was created in 1987 and there are 200 different versions of it. He passed away on February 16 1990 at the age of 31 due to complications with AIDS.
Plan:
- research artist
-choose a painting
-Wedge clay
-form 3 equal-sized pieces of clay
- make 3 figures
- make a slab for a base
- make a hole in one of the figures
- connect two of the figures' hands through the hole
- glaze the figures and the slab base
REFLECTION:
- Overall I would say it turned out okay but there were definitely some things I could improve on like
- smoothing out the piece more before it dried
- cutting the slab so it is even on all sides
- and I would of chosen a different color for the slab
Other than these mistakes I think it turned out fine and I like kieth sharing because I learned about him last year in Graphic design and I like his art style.
